Students taking this course will learn strategic operational policies and practices of bank management in a competitive environment.
This class is designed primarily for students interested in pursuing careers in or learning more about the bank management and financial technology. It explores the services that banks and their main competitors (including savings and loans, credit unions, security and investment firms) offer in modern banking-industry and innovative-technology market place. The topics covered in the course include introduction to banking and financial services, financial-firm performance, tools for managing and hedging against risks, investment portfolios and liquidity positions of financial firms and banking industry outlook.
